This event marks an important milestone in the cooperation process between the two units in many fields, especially in training and developing high-quality human resources specialized in tourism.

Participating in the signing ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Council along with representatives of the city's departments and branches and representatives of 2 units.

Mr. Vo Anh Tai, Deputy General Director of Saigontourist Group, said that recently, the labor structure in economic sectors in general and the tourism industry in particular has been changing strongly. In particular, the Covid-19 pandemic has a great impact on the tourism industry, posing an urgent problem in the supply of tourism human resources, especially specialized and highly skilled labor resources.

“The cooperation program will actively contribute to the joint development efforts of the two units, especially important in the current recovery and development period of the tourism industry in particular as well as the recovery and socio-economic development of Ho Chi Minh City in general", Mr. Vo Anh Tai shared.

According to the comprehensive cooperation agreement, Saigontourist Group will support and accompany Saigon University in implementing contents to concretize contributions to the development of the tourism industry in the fields of training, research, internships, consultants, sharing practical experiences, job opportunities and using services and products of both sides.

Immediately after the signing ceremony, Saigontourist School of Tourism and Hotel and Saigon University signed a joint plan to coordinate the organization of practical courses for 520 students of Saigon University in the 2023 - 2024 school year studying the program. Bachelor's training program in the fields of: Restaurant and Food Service Management, Hotel Management of the Faculty of Business Administration and bachelor's training program of the Faculty of Culture and Tourism.
