The signing ceremony took place at the New World Saigon Hotel in District.1, HCMC, on the afternoon of August 8,2024. The event was attended by Wiraka Moodhitaporn, Consult General of Thailand in HCMC, Nguyen Van Dung, Vice Chairman of the HCMC People's Committee, and representatives from various departments, agencies, and organizations. 
The partnership between the two firms will focus on several key areas, including tourism development, investment promotion, and the creation of tourism products and services. It will also encompass marketing, event organization, work force training, and the exchange of visitors and practical experiences. Additionally, the collaboration will explore opportunities for hospitality development in both Vietnam and Thailand.
 
Truong Duc Hung, general director of Saigontourist Group, expressed optimism about the partnership with Dusit Thani PLC, a leading tourism firm in Thailand. He stated, "I believe that through close collaboration and leveraging the growth potential of both groups, we will achieve outstanding success in tourism development, thereby contributing to the socio-economic advancement of both Vietnam and Thailand."

Specifically, Saigontourist Group and Dusit Thani will work together to promote and introduce each other's tourism services to potential customers. They will share technical expertise, experience, and best practices to improve the quality and effectiveness of tourism services in both countries.
During the event, Pham Huy Binh, chairman of Saigontourist Group, emphasized that the partnership for the 2024-2029 period marks a significant milestone in the collaboration between the two major tourism brands in Vietnam and Thailand, representing a crucial step forward in their joint efforts to enhance tourism development.

Echoing this sentiment, Gilles Cretallaz, CEO of Dusit Thani, emphasized that the collaboration between the two companies represents more than just a strategic partnership, it is a testament to their shared vision and commitment to advancing the tourism industry in both Vietnam and Thailand. 
"Together, we will explore opportunities for hotel development in Vietnam and Thailand, expand our reach, enhance services, and attract more visitors to both of our countries", he stated.
