Saigontourist Group has just organized different Award Ceremonies granting 500 scholarships, each worth 1.2 million VND, to poor studious students in 4 provinces of Tay Ninh, Long An, Tra Vinh and Ben Tre. Besides that, Saigontourist Group also handed 200 million VND to children in blind schools and shelters at Nguyen Dinh Chieu Special High School, Nhat Hong Protection Center for the Blinds, Ho Chi Minh City Youth School for the Blinds and Orphans, Nhu Nghia Brothers Blinds Center. This is the donation from the fundraising of the "Saigontourist Group Charity Golf Tournament in 2020”.

The Scholarships Award Ceremonies were realized by the Board of Directors of Saigontourist Group, the Organizing Committee of “Saigontourist Group Charity Golf Tournament in 2020” and the Trade Union leaders of Saigontourist Group from September 9 to January 17, 2021. Specifically, Saigontourist Group awarded scholarships to poor, studious and disabled students in Cang Long (Tra Vinh), Thanh Phu (Ben Tre), Can Giuoc (Long An) and Thanh An Communes in Go Dau province (Tay Ninh).

This is an annual activity of Saigontourist Group through the Ho Chi Minh City Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients in the program "Scholarships for studious students with difficult circumstances and disabilities".

The "Saigontourist Group Charity Golf Tournament” is organized annually by Saigontourist Group for charity purposes. Since the first season in 2006, up to now, the tournament has attracted 2,250 golfers to participate, with a total donation of nearly 10 billion VND. This donation has been used for charitable and social purposes such as: Grant of 5,150 scholarships to poor, but studious students in Ho Chi Minh City and other cities and

provinces; support in heart surgery, eye surgery, free medical examination and treatment for poor patients; relief for poor ethnic people in the mountain areas; building houses of gratitude, building bridges in rural and remote areas.

Entering the 15th year consecutively, the "Saigontourist Group Charity Golf Tournament" is the focus within the series of events celebrating the 45th anniversary of Saigontourist Group (1975 – 2020). At the same time, it looks to the traditional core goals of Saigontourist Group for the community program.

In a year where the tourism industry faced many difficulties due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, maintaining the organization of the “Saigontourist Group Charity Golf Tournament 2020” is not only to preserve an annual activity, but is also a mission for the community committed by Saigontourist Group with the companion from other businesses and partners. Carrying the tradition of the program "Saigontourist Group for the community", this year's golf tournament specially dedicated the contributions of businesses and individuals to make scholarships. These are encouragements for poor students, children from blind schools, children in shelters with special difficult circumstances to continue studying and pursuing their dreams.
