The "Saigontourist Group Charity Golf Tournament” is organized annually by Saigontourist Group for a charitable purpose. Since the first season in 2006, up to now, the tournament has attracted 2,250 golfers to participate, with a total donation of nearly 10 billion VND. This donation has been used for charitable and social purposes such as: Grant of 5,150 scholarships to poor, but studious students in Ho Chi Minh City and other cities and provinces; support in heart surgery, eye surgery, free medical examination and treatment for poor patients; relief for poor ethnic people in the mountain areas; building houses of gratitude, building bridges in rural and remote areas.

Entering the 15th year consecutively, the "Saigontourist Group Charity Golf Tournament" is the focus within the series of events celebrating the 45th anniversary of Saigontourist Group (1975 – 2020). At the same time, it looks to the traditional core goals of Saigontourist Group for the community program.

The “Saigontourist Group Charity Golf Tournament " is considered as one of the prestigious tournaments, attracting many golfers who are businessmen, managers, representatives of newspapers and broadcasters, diplomatic institutions in Ho Chi Minh City, other cities and provinces. Their participation illustrates the purpose of joining hands for the community and society. The tournament venue, Vietnam Golf & Country Club, which has hosted many of the oldest and largest charity golf tournaments in Vietnam, is also a member unit of the Saigontourist Group.

This year's golf tournament attracted 130 golfers to compete. At the awards ceremony, the Organizing Committee honored the winners, the golden hearts who joined hands to contribute, to grant 650 gratitude scholarships with a total value of 800 million VND for poor students with great eager to study in remote areas with difficult circumstances, the children at Nguyen Dinh Chieu's blind school and other shelters in Ho Chi Minh City, provinces and cities.
