SAIGONTOURIST GROUP AND VIETNAM AIRLINES: PIONEERS CONNECTING VIETNAM TO THE EUROPEAN MARKET
The program was attended by Vietnamese and German government officials, representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany, local leaders involved in SAIGONTOURIST GROUP AND VIETNAM AIRLINES: PIONEERS CONNECTING VIETNAM TO THE EUROPEAN MARKET promoting Vietnamese tourism, as well as executives from Vietnam Airlines, Saigontourist Group, and leading tourism and aviation businesses from Germany and Europe, along with media agencies from both countries. Focusing on working sessions, service development connections, and the signing of mutual cooperation agreements, the “Vietnam - Europe Tourism Promotion Program” was a significant event that marks a new milestone in promoting Vietnamese tourism to the European market. It also creates opportunities for extensive collaboration between tourism and aviation businesses on both sides.
This program serves as a platform for the Vietnamese tourism industry to showcase and introduce friendly, appealing, and safe destinations to key European markets, particularly Germany. “We are very pleased to once again partner with Vietnam Airlines to host this event in Munich, a key economic and cultural hub in Europe. We believe that through this event, an increasing number of European tourists will come to discover the beauty of Vietnam and choose it as their top travel destination,” stated Mr. Pham Huy Binh, Chairman of Saigontourist Group.
Mr. Le Duc Canh, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines, said: “Since the first flights in 2004, Vietnam Airlines has continuously increased flight frequency, bringing the most modern aircraft into operation to accomodate the growing number of passengers during the past two decades. Currently, we are operating four direct flights connecting Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City with two major German cities, Frankfurt and Munich, with a total frequency of 14 flights/week. All flights are conducted using widebody aircraft, providing high-quality service in line with international standards.” In celebration of the new Hanoi - Munich route that opened on October 5, 2024, along with the Ho Chi Minh City - Munich route, Vietnam Airlines is offering a range of attractive promotions. A standout feature of the “Vietnam - Europe Tourism Promotion Program” is the official signing of a significant cooperation agreement between Saigontourist Group, Vietnam Airlines, and two prominent European tourism groups: Studiosus Reisen München GmbH (Germany) and Kuoni Global Travel Services (Switzerland). Accordingly, Saigontourist Group, Vietnam Airlines, Studiosus Reisen München GmbH (Germany), and Kuoni Global Travel Services (Switzerland) will collaborate to develop and promote tourism products tailored for travelers between Vietnam and Europe. This cooperation signifies a strong connection among the parties, with the goal of creating high-quality tourism offerings that meet the growing demands of German tourists specifically, and European markets more broadly, visiting Vietnam and vice versa.
At this event, Saigontourist Group authorized Saigontourist Travel Services Company, a subsidiary of Saigontourist Group, along with Vietnam Airlines, to sign a significant cooperation agreement with Kuoni Global Travel Services. The parties will collaborate to enhance services and boost brand visibility through joint marketing and promotional activities across each entity’s marketing channels.
