TICKETS FOR FOOD AND CULTURE FESTIVAL 2023 GO ON SALE

Saigontourist Group has launched tickets for the “Food and Culture Festival 2023”, with a discount of 10% offered for early birds who purchase tickets before 5 p.m. on April 17, 2023.
The “Food and Culture Festival 2023” by Saigontourist Group will take place in four consecutive days, from April 20 to 23, 2023, at Van Thanh Tourist Village in HCMC. With the event’s tremendous success, the “Saigontourist Food and Culture Festival 2022” was crowned “Asia’s Best Culinary Festival 2022” by the World Culinary Awards.
Saigontourist Group’s four-and five-star restaurants, hotels and resorts in HCMC and other localities will showcase over 350 distinctive dishes and drinks, honoring the culinary culture of the three regions. Skilled and experienced chefs will show attendees how to prepare these delicacies directly. The festival will also showcase traditional handicrafts associated with Vietnamese cuisine, unique traditional art performances and folk games, capturing the essence of Vietnamese culture.
The space of the Food and Culture Festival 2023 will be divided into three areas: North, Central, and South. The Festival will feature over 40 food booths from Saigontourist Group’s subsidiaries nationwide, allowing diners to enjoy hundreds of delicious dishes from various regions in the country.
These dishes will be prepared by renowned chefs from five-star hotels such as Rex Hotel Saigon, Hotel Majestic Saigon, Hotel Grand Saigon, Caravelle Saigon Hotel, New World Saigon Hotel, as well as luxury hotels and tourist sites like Hotel Continental Saigon, First Hotel, Royal Hotel Saigon, Oscar Saigon Hotel, Hotel Thien Hong, Dong Khanh Hotel, Binh Quoi Tourist Village, Tan Cang Recreational Area, Can Gio Tourist Attraction, Van Thanh Tourist Village, Dam Sen Cultural Park, Saigontourist Hospitality College, and Saigontourist Group’s hotels and resorts throughout the country including Saigon Ha Long, Majestic Mong Cai, Saigon - Phu Tho, Saigon-Ban Gioc, Saigon-BaBe, Saigon-Kim Lien, Saigon-Quang Binh, Saigon-Dong Ha, Saigon-Morin, Saigon-Tourane, Saigon-Ban Me, Saigon-Dalat, Saigon-Phu Yen, Saigon-Ninh Chu, Saigon-Mui Ne, Saigon-Phu Quoc, Saigon-Rach Gia, Saigon-Vinh Long, and Saigon-Con Dao. Additionally, the festival will be attended by representatives from Vietnam Airlines and other units in Ben Tre and Tay Ninh provinces.
Visitors from northern provinces will feel nostalgic when trying traditional dishes like Hanoi-style Bun Cha (vermicelli noodles with grilled pork and herbs), banh tom Ho Tay (West Lake shrimp cake), nem ran cua be (fried crab spring rolls), bun dau mam tom (vermicelli noodles with fried tofu and shrimp paste), …and other traditional dishes from the highlands of the Northwest and Northeast.
Those who love the Central region’s cuisine will enjoy mi Quang (Quang style noodle-soup), steamed mackerel scads with rice papers and veggies, cao lau thit xiu (noodle soup with char siu), hen xao banh trang (stir-fried mussels with prawn crackers), xoi da da (sticky rice with Chinese francolin), Con Co king oysters, tuna fish, and other fresh seafood dishes from the central coastal provinces, Hue City, Central Highlands, and Dalat City.
Southern cuisine lovers will get a chance to taste a variety of traditional dishes like  bun mam (fermented fish noodle soup), bun nuoc leo (pork and seafood noodle soup), ba chi quay banh hoi (fine rice woven vermicelli noodle sheets with roasted pork belly), goi du du tai heo (papaya salads with shrimp and pig’s ears), xoi bo cau (sticky rice with pigeon meat), and other delicacies in Tay Ninh, Ben Tre, and Mekong Delta provinces.
 

The South area will feature 20 old Saigon houses with coffee serving counters, showcasing the unique stewed coffee culture of the city in the past. Additionally, street food trucks will be set up as a new highlight for this year’s event.
Folk games that bring back fond childhood memories will be a special part of  this year’s festival. The re-enactment of traditional craft villages is also an exciting activity that allows visitors to witness skilled artisans demonstrating long-standing handicrafts, such as making wine, tofu, noodles, prawn crackers, candies, folk cakes, hats, potteries, and mats.
The Food and Culture Festival 2023 by Saigontourist Group will be open from 4p.m to 10p.m in four consecutive days, April 20 to 23, at Van Thanh Tourist Area. Additional lunch service will be provided from 10a.m to 2 p.m. on April 22 and 23. Any guests who want to join the festival must buy tickets at the gates. The ticket price is VND200,000 per adult, while children under 1.4meters tall can enter free of charge. Especially, a special discount of 10% on ticket prices is offered for early birds before 5p.m on April 17,2023. The number of discounted tickets sold in advance is limited.
